A little bit about me...

I'm Helene Iveson and with my partner Roger and my children Ryan, Chloe, Jasmine, Jack-Thomas and Max, We welcome you to The Mulberry Bush.

I have lived in Hawes, Wensleydale for the past seventeen years and couldn't wish for a nicer place to bring up my children. It is indeed one of the most beautiful places in England.

My childhood dream of opening a shop became a reality on the 14th April 2006 when the doors were officially opened by my dear auntie Mary whose 80th birthday fell at the same time.

With no formal training in retail and having been a mum from the age of 19 it has been quite a challenge but I had gained some experience working with my very loveliest of girls, Jill and Jane Atkinson at The Olive Branch, Addingham, West Yorkshire www.the-olive-branch.co.uk to whom I will be eternally grateful for giving me the confidence to go it alone.

The very next person I should tell you about is Jenny. She will probably be your first point of contact when you call The Mulberry Bush - Jenny is great at putting ideas for gifts together, she knows the products very well, she's always cheerful and makes molehills out of the biggest mountains. I could not run The Mulberry Bush without her. I find she works her best after our daily dose of carrot cake from Cocketts, our local butcher/baker - so good is this carrot cake that we have convinced ourselves it is one of our five fruit and veg a day!
