The Padraig slipper was designed years ago for comfort and warmth. Since then many changes have been made in both shape and colour, but wool has remained the essential material because of its inherent qualities. It is light and flexible allowing the slipper to mould to the individual foot in a non-constrictive way.
It "breathes" remaining comfortable in both summer and winter
It is naturally water resistant
It has elasticity which means it readily returns to its original shape when washed
It provides the necessary warmth and comfort for growing babies and children
It also provides that welcoming warmth and sense of wellbeing for older people
It soothes and relaxes tired and aching feet
The therapeutic qualities of wool are being rediscovered and acknowledged

Materials Pure sheep wool, sheepskin and leather.
